Yarns for C2C crochet pattern and crochet blankets in general.

SEE THE LIST BELOW.

This list will be updated if I find more suitable yarns for this specific crochet blanket pattern or crochet blankets in general. You can always come back to this blog post (save the link) and check it out.

1. RE-UP RECYCLED COTTON-POLYESTER BLEND

This is medium/worsted thick yarn and it is perfect for all blankets. And I especially love this mint (surf spray) color which is quite versatile and unisex. The fiber is cotton-polyester blend and it is recycled

You will need either 1 bobbins (397 grams_ for a baby blanket, 2 bobbins for a lap blanket/throw and 3-4 bobbins for a bigger adult size blanket.

There are more colors to choose from. See all options and details on Lion Brand website here.

2. DISHIE MULTI COLOR COTTON

This 100% cotton yarn is addictive. Colors are perfect for both baby blankets and adult size blankets. Weight - worsted.

You will need 5 skeins (190 yards each) for a baby blanket and between 10 to 20 skeins for lap or adult size blanket depending on your chosen size.

Here is the link for this yarn on Knit Picks page.

3. HAND-DIED ORGANIC COTTON

This is my favourite choice of hand-died yarn on Etsy.

BirdiesKnits makes gorgeous color combinations one could hardly resist.

For the blanket you will need 400-500 grams (baby size) and around 800 grams for a decent size lap blanket. For huge/king size blankets you will need around 2 kilos of yarn.

The best yarn weights are DK or worsted.

4. HEATHERLY WORSTED MERINO BLEND

Details: 1 hank = 100 grams = 218 yd.

Fiber: 20% merino, 80% acrylic.

Weight: worsted.

C2C baby blanket will require 5 skeins of this yarn, for adult size blankets grab more according to the size you want to make - always check the recommendations in the pattern description.

5. HANDMADE COTTON CAKES

Here is the recommendation to try my own handmade yarns. I make special colorful yarn blends and I've never seen anything similar anywhere else, so at least it is worth checking it out.

The options include already designed color combinations, colorful mini yarn balls and mystery packs where you get these kind of yarn cakes, but the color is a surprise.

END OF THE LIST (for now). I will add more crochet yarns to this list if I find yet another suitable option. You can always email me or contact me on Instagram with your suggestions. I will review them and will add to this list if I find them suitable too.
